FIR against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma for ‘bid to murder’

Mizo Zirlai Pawl, a student body of Mizoram, has filed an FIR at Vairengte police station in Mizoram against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and six others in connection with the border flare-up on Monday. As many as 200 unidentified Assam Police personnel have also been booked. Among the charges against Himanta and others are IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
