The role of a Group Captain among other officers is under the scanner in the ongoing IAF inquiry into the accidental firing of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile that crashed 124km inside Pakistan on March 9. The IAF, incidentally, on Wednesday tested the new version of the land-attack BrahMos missile, with the strike range extended from the original 290-km to 350-400-km, at the Andaman and Nicobar Command.
