Live: Novavax gets India authorisation for adolescents

Novavax says its Covid vaccine gets India authorisation for children aged 12-17. India reported 1,581 new Covid-19 cases and 33 deaths in last 24 hours, according to health ministry's updated data at 9 am. The first dose Covid-19 vaccination coverage of those aged 15 and above is currently 95.5%, while the second dose coverage is 80.6% and hence, the vaccination pace has slowed down relatively as most of the target beneficiaries are already covered, the Centre informed Parliament on Tuesday.
