Anti-Maoist op turns into mission to save mom-to-be

An anti-Maoist operation turned into a rescue mission when security forces came across a pregnant woman in agony in a remote village in Bastar’s Dantewada district on Tuesday. With Maoists having cut the only dirt road to the village, the jawans fashioned a cot into a stretcher and carried her on their shoulders to a patrol vehicle, which took her to hospital where she gave birth to a healthy baby.
