Heat wave for next 4 days, April set to be among hottest ever

The current month is on course to be among the hottest months of April ever experienced in India, with the met department on Thursday issuing another heat wave warning for northwest and central India for the next four days. IMD data provides a glimpse into the sweltering conditions in north and central India. In Punjab, maximum temperatures were on average 5.4°C above normal. In Haryana, these were 5.1°C over the normal mark.
