Govt’s wheat buy estimate cut by 50%, lowest in 13 years

The government on Wednesday lowered its wheat purchase estimate for the current Rabi procurement season to 19.5 million tonnes — the lowest in the past 13 years. It said wheat production is estimated to be around 105 MTs, nearly 6% less than original estimate.
