Two applications were filed in the court of civil judge (senior division) in Mathura on Friday seeking appointment of an advocate commissioner to carry out an inspection of the Shahi Idgah masjid adjoining Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi to confirm the "existence of Hindu artefacts and ancient religious inscriptions on the mosque premises". The court fixed the next date for hearing on July 1.
