Rohtak girl joins as Army’s first woman combat aviator

Captain Abhilasha Barak from Rohtak in Haryana on Wednesday became the first woman combat aviator of the Army. An engineering graduate from Delhi Technological University, Barak was among 37 Army officers who completed the rigorous flying training at Combat Army Aviation Training School here and were presented the Aviation Wings at the valedictory ceremony of the Combat Aviators Course presided over by Lieutenant General Ajay Kumar Suri, Director General and Colonel Commandant, Army Aviation.
