HC refuses to stay dismissal of Ishrat case officer

The Delhi high court on Monday refused to stay the Centre's order dismissing senior IPS officer Satish Chandra Verma a month before his scheduled retirement. Verma had assisted the CBI in its probe of the 2004 Ishrat Jahan encounter case between April 2010 and October 2011.
