Disturbing that Navlakha case not moving, says SC

Observing that it is “disturbing” that trial proceedings against social activist Gautam Navlakha and others is not inching forward in the Elgaar Parishad case and not even charges have been framed in the last two years after chargesheet was filed in October 2020, the Supreme Court said that it would consider whether he could be allowed to come out of jail and be put under house arrest in view of his old age and medical problems.
