Govt call soon if battery swap for EVs to be a must or voluntary

The Centre will soon take a call on whether to make Battery Swapping Standards for electric two and three wheelers mandatory or voluntary. The government has called a meeting of representatives from Electric Vehicle industry and public entities next week before finalising the standards being formulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
