SC nixes govt plea for Rs 7.4k cr additional damages for Bhopal gas disaster

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the Centre’s plea filed in 2010 seeking an additional compensation of Rs 7,400 crore from Union Carbide Corporation (UCC) for the victims of 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.
