Eight members of Rajya Sabha chairman and VP Jagdeep Dhankhar’s personal staff have been “attached” to 20 House panels thatcame under the ambit of the RS this week, a move that drew flak from opposition benches. Dhankhar said the decision was taken after “multi-layered consultations”. These officers have been tasked with assisting committees in their work.
