Chip maker Micron to invest $2.7 billion for plant in Gujarat

American computer chip maker Micron on Thursday announced its plan to invest over $2.7 billion in an assembly and test plant in Gujarat. The announcement came hours after PM Narendra Modi’s meeting Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra in the US, where the latter expressed optimism on “greater opportunities” in India.
