Delhi issues Yamuna rise warning as Hathnikund volume up

A fresh spell of rain in the hill states led to the release of huge volumes of water from the Hathnikund barrage into the Yamuna on Saturday, forcing the Delhi government to issue a warning to people who had moved back to their houses in the low-lying areas. The release rate had increased to 2.51 lakh cusecs on Saturday morning, an engineer said.
