He pointed out that several secular parties had in the past allied with the BJP, including those of leaders like Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah, and M K Stalin. He said the one party that had attacked the NCP the most was Shiv Sena and Balasaheb Thackeray, and if the party could go with the Sena, there was no reason it could not go with the BJP.
