DMK man kills father, tries to frame rivals

Police arrested a DMK member on charges of strangulating his father to death and attempting to frame the husband of a panchayat union president for the deed, at a village in the district in Tamil Nadu. Police identified the accused as R Purushothaman, 42, a DMK functionary in the locality.
