Bopanna-Ebden pair suffers US Open heartbreak, loses in final

India's Rohan Bopanna on Friday narrowly missed out on creating history as he and Australian partner Matthew Ebden suffered a 6-2, 3-6, 4-6 defeat to USA's Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury of United Kingdom in the US Open men's doubles final. Bopanna, 43, was looking to become the oldest Slam champion in Open era but suffered a defeat in the thrilling finale that lasted 2 hours at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
