An Israeli couple in Kfar Aza died protecting their children from Hamas militants. The couple, former Israeli army officers, had weapons stored in their home and used a reinforced security room to hide their twins while confronting the militants. They successfully neutralized seven militants but sacrificed their own lives. Their children were discovered unharmed 13 hours later.
