Plan to bring HEIs offering online courses under NIRF

The Centre is planning to rank higher education institutions offering online and education in distance mode as well as for those offering languages in NIRF rankings. The NBA is also reviewing the parameters to further strengthen the India rankings. At present universities, engineering, medical, law, management are some of the areas of study for which the HEIs are ranked annually under NIRF the list of which is released ahead of the admission season by the ministry of education (MoE).
