4 Maoists shot dead in Bijapur, 8 now killed in Bastar in 4 days

Four Maoists, including platoon commander Prashant, were killed in encounters in Bijapur district of Bastar, Chhattisgarh. The forces, including District Reserve Guards, Bastar Fighters, and CRPF, are pushing deeper into insurgent strongholds. Weapons seized include a barrel grenade launcher, pistol, ammunition, tiffin bombs, gelatin sticks, safety fuses, knives, axes. Bijapur SP Jitendra Kumar confirmed the killings.
